💙 O35s VASE FINAL – FULL TIME 💙
Gutted to come away on the wrong side of it.
A top performance from our O35s, who led 1–0 at half time and were level at 2–2 right up to the final touch of the game, where Burnt Ash nicked it.
That’s finals hockey. Fine margins.
What a season this group has had though with loads of quality, loads of energy, and clearly a group that’s loved getting out there together. That showed again today.
Huge credit to Burnt Ash HC on the win 👏
Plenty to be proud of 💙🏑

Saturday night was a proper reminder of what SUBHC is all about.
Our End of Season Meal is always a highlight, but this one just felt right. After everything that’s gone into this season, it was a chance to get everyone in one room, take a breath, and celebrate not just what’s happened on the pitch, but the people who’ve made it happen.
There’s plenty we could say about promotions, finals and performances… but honestly, nights like that say more. Teammates catching up, captains being recognised, coaches, umpires and volunteers getting the appreciation they deserve, and a whole lot of laughter along the way.
A few questionable dance moves made an appearance (as always), but more than anything it just felt like a club that people genuinely want to be part of.
We’re proud of what this group has achieved this season, and even prouder of what’s being built here.

Ladies’ 4th XI Season Review 🏑🔥
✍️ @x.sophiehuntWe caught up with Ladies’ 4th XI Captain, Sophie, to look back on a brilliant season for the Ladies’ 4s which was one built on fun, inclusivity, and a team that’s all about backing each other.
Moment of the Season 🏆
For Sophie, it had to be Maya’s debut.
“I drafted one of our juniors, Maya, for her first ever adult hockey game…”
You wouldn’t have known it:
“It felt like she’d been playing with us all season.”Cool, confident… and then:
“She scored a hat-trick!! Couldn’t be prouder.”A great reflection of the team too:
“We’re welcoming and inclusive… all here to support each other.”Best Game 🔥
Chapeltown at home (21st March).
“Immaculate vibes… the team gelled really well and banter start to finish.”
With a small fansoc (feat. @nutsokiwi 👀) and a win to top it off 🤩
“It sums up the 4s – fun Saturday hockey, low pressure and lots of laughs.”
Toughest Opponent ⚔️
Phoenix.
“They play differently to the other teams.”
After a tough first game, the team adapted:
“We changed strategy later in the season and it worked well.”But still a challenge
“nifty stick & ball skills… and they take it more seriously than we do 🤣”Team MVP 💜
@rubyjaynegratton (Mitch).”
“Always has our back… pulls off big saves and keeps us organised.”
“The team feels so much more confident with her in goal.”
“10/10 absolute lifesaver.”
A season full of laughs, growth, and great team spirit.
Exactly what hockey should be. 💜
