‼️The weekend’s results are in‼️Highlights include M1’s double win on Sunday and a stunning 6-1 victory for our ladies’ 2s! Despite a tough scoreline, the M3s have stated ‘It was only 1-0 in the second half’.

🏑☀️ What a Summer of Hockey! 🎉

This summer, along with our partners @wolfacadhockey we hosted 4 incredible SUBHC Summer Camps, welcoming young people aged 5–15 for fun-filled days of hockey, games, and making new friends.

From complete beginners to budding stars, we created a space for every child to learn new skills, build confidence, and fall in love with the game — and the results speak for themselves:

✨ 182 total bookings across 4 camps
👧🧒 138 unique young people took part
🚀 64% had never played hockey or only picked up a stick at school
🥇 52% had never played before — EVER!
🏡 47% live within 1 mile of our home pitch
🔄 32% loved it so much they came to more than one camp!

We’re bringing hockey to the heart of our community, breaking down barriers, and inspiring the next generation of players. 💛💙

🚨 Big Signing Alert! 🚨

We’re delighted to announce that Will Hearne has officially joined Sheffield University Bankers Hockey Club! 🏑

Many of you already know Will as the driving force behind the @wolfacadhockey, where he has been instrumental in helping us build and grow our thriving junior section 🐺✨. His passion for developing young players and creating pathways into hockey has already made a huge impact in Sheffield.

The last time Will was involved with SUBHC — back in 2015 — our Women’s squad secured a historic league and cup double 🏆🔥.

Now, he’ll be taking things even further as he joins Bankers to:
👉 Play with our senior squads
👉 Coach and support our performance teams
👉 Lead our brand-new Hockey in the Community programme, bringing free hockey coaching into local schools and opening the game up to children who’ve never had the chance to play before 🙌

We’re so excited for what’s to come — on and off the pitch — with Will on board! 💙🤍
